Is there anything more Iconic to Alberta than this scene?

Alberta's biggest industries are captured in just one photo.

Agriculture and oil production have had their ups and downs, affecting those I hold dear. We have weathered the storms and we are still here.

There is resilience in that. This image was captured after another wonderful rain in our neck of the woods, diminishing the threat of drought, at least for the time being.

Three things close to my heart in the same photo? How perfect can that be?

Canola beginning to bloom, turning the landscape bright and cheerful, the black of the pump jack creating the black gold Alberta is famous for and my personal favourite subject, the night sky in all it's glory. This is Iconic.
